Description:
Glenn and Jeanne Peterson are “Crossing Trees” – an Americana, folk, acoustic husband and wife duo. Their unique style of music and heartfelt lyrics are both passionate and pure.
Overview:
Glenn and Jeanne have been writing and singing together since the early 80's. They have grown through many seasons on their journey as praise and worship leaders and singer/songwriters.
They released their first project “Many Waters” in 1993. This was a late night recording session, a garage studio effort. They recently re-mastered and released the project in 2005 re-titled “Old Tracks”. “We feel this project still has a strong anointing even though our music style has changed, the message has not.”
Their latest project “Losing Me” starts and ends with a focus of relationship. it is a series of songs that came out of a real intimate place.. “We are really excited about this new CD and look forward to what God has in store.”
From Glenn and Jeanne:
Music has always been a part of our lives and after giving our hearts to Christ, singing became more than just singing. "We tend to complicate the worship experience. Our Heavenly Father said of David that he had a heart after Him. When you look at David, his life was full of mistakes and at times failures; but the one constant in his life was his passion to be honest with God. We believe this is the key to worship and intimacy with the Father. Our desire is to go beyond the obstacles of ability and focus on our availability, to make our thoughts, emotions and actions available to God. That is true worship"…
Our second project “Losing Me” is about denying ourselves and yielding to something bigger than life itself. It is an outpouring of our hearts and a testimony of what God can do when we wait upon Him and trust Him. He is always so faithful. He is always listening.
He is BIG!
Bigger than life!
Crossing Trees: Bio/Us
Crossing Trees, the name
The Name:
Crossing Trees is symbolic of the three crosses on Calvary’s hill. The center cross representing Christ, and the work of redemption. Jesus died for us all. The other two crosses represent the decision for mankind; to accept Christ’s offer of redemption or to deny it. We are all subject to the decision of the crossing trees.
In Galatians 3:13 it states, “Anyone who is hanged on a tree is cursed” (as Jesus, sinless, was hung upon a wooden cross for all mankind’s sin). This act has freed us from the law of sin and death and given us the gift of grace and mercy.
Because of Christ's sacrifice, we recieve daily what we DON'T deserve... Grace!!!
It is that unconditional love that frees us to love in return. To pursue Him with the same passion He pursued us with... His LIFE!
What decision will you make today? Will you be like the thief hanging on the tree that acknowledged Christ and entered into Paradise with Him; or will you be like the thief who denied His love and power and missed the greatest gift of all?
